On 14 September 2016, ICDL Asia participated in the ICT Employment Opportunities and Certifications Forum in the Manila, Philippines. Participants of this event included States Universities, Department of ICT (DICT) Clusters Offices, together with some National Government Agencies.
ICDL signed MOU with SIPA at Phuket Smart City event
On 8 September 2016, the ICDL team in Thailand took part in the launch event for Phuket Smart City. As part of the Royal Thai Government’s vision for a vibrant Digital Economy, Phuket will be developed into a Smart City to upgrade entrepreneurs, SMEs and start-ups in Phuket.

At the Skill India One Year Anniversary Ceremony on 15 July 2016, Honorable President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee, together with Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Shri Rajiv Pratap Rudy, launched the first batch of 15 International Skills Centres across India.
